Plugin progress

Yesterday and today have been pretty productive, considering how much is on the plate. I’ve done a bit of work on the WordPress side of things, infrastructure work really. Its at once a workplace for writing and testing the new plugins, a place to keep LLC records, and a place to keep track of notes-to-self so I don’t lose track.

  • Equipment updates – Decision’s been made; next year we’ll either tap in to the neighbor’s Tempest weather station, or get our own. We’re getting rid of all the Raspberry Pi components. The Tempest system looks to be pretty much plug and play, and much simpler for the website.
  • 5 WordPress plugins – I’d never written a plugin for WordPress before so I didn’t know what to expect. AI quickly took my code and instructions and drafted plugins for five of the core functions on the site.
  • Git version control. We’re trying to keep it all professional with version control and repositories on Github.

So that’s the rundown today, a windy Sunday. Next week maybe I’ll complete the plugins?
