A failed OS update took down a lot of the system, and it needed almost a total rebuild &#8211; just to get the fundamentals back in working order. Most of the files had backups, but it was still a mess for a while.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">In-progress <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Here&#8217;s what&#8217;s new and in-progress at Scootercam:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Improved mp4 files &#8211; the video files should load faster now, especially on mobile devices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Two cameras take timelapse images at 15-second intervals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Camera capture and processing times are staggered to ease CPU load.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Both cameras record and upload sunset timelapse videos.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Reolink camera  creates &#8220;Segment&#8221; timelapse videos. Ten seconds of live action (with natural sound) are recorded and sent to the website, and appended to a day-so-far file.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>There&#8217;s a few weather data refinements too, but we&#8217;ll save that for later.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Scootercam Worldwide has had a few broken pieces these last few months.
